We are excited about new and better things that are happening in our Lab:

Clostridium difficile kit allows us to result and report both the toxin and antigen
Automated Sedimentation Rate reader will enable us to provide better, clearer results in 15 minutes (versus 60 minutes with traditional method.)
Hospital-grade glucometers for patient testing/monitoring.
Biosite Triage meter to process samples for Urine Drug screens; results much clearer and require fewer confirmations; 15 minutes turn around time.
Biosite Triage meter to process specimens for D-Dimer; new procedure will provide a numeral result as opposed to just a positive or negative; 15 minutes turn around time.
Biosite Triagemeter to process patient specimens ordered for BNP; new methodology measures a different molecule and provides better measurement with greater sensitivity than our previous BNP method; 15 minutes turn around time.

All age groups are served by our Laboratory, with 50% of the total tests generated from out-patient services.

Our Laboratory is accredited by the Joint Commission Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and certified by CMS to operate under the guidelines defined by CLIA 88. The Laboratory Director, Manager, and all testing personnel are well qualified to perform testing.
